For a day centred on the business, craft and future of the beauty industry, ANBOS Congres 2026 also showcased a surprise fashion show! For Buttercups Uniforms, it offered an opportunity to see beauty workwear in a new light. Our collection brought pieces designed for the working day into a more fashion-led setting where silhouettes, details, colour and movement could take centre stage.
It was a fitting moment for a category that has changed considerably. Beauty uniforms are no longer simply about meeting a dress code, they have become part of how a salon, clinic or beauty business presents itself.
A different setting for Beauty Workwear

Our collection took to the runway giving attendees a different way to experience professional beauty uniforms. Away from the salon floor, familiar workwear details could be appreciated differently. Tailoring, shape, neckline, colour and finishing touches became part of the overall look, rather than details considered only for practical reasons.
That is an important part of how we approach design at Buttercups.
A beauty uniform has to work hard. It needs to suit the pace of the day, allow movement and feel appropriate for client-facing environments. But that does not mean style has to come second.
Pieces such as our Cassia Eco Tunic, Senna, Aster, Kai and Moonflower Tunics were among the looks showcased, demonstrating the breadth of contemporary beauty workwear and the different ways a uniform can be styled.
From the runway to something more personal
Later on the collection was brought closer to the attendees, giving ANBOS members the opportunity to see the pieces up close, explore the details and try them for themselves.
A photograph or runway appearance can capture a silhouette, but seeing a garment in person reveals the details that make it work. The fabric, finish, fit and construction become much more apparent when you can look closely and experience the pieces for yourself.
It also creates a more personal connection with the clothing. Instead of simply watching a collection pass by, attendees could begin to imagine how different pieces might work within their own professional environment.
The Fern Tunic makes an impression
Among the collection, our Fern Tunic made heads turn. A sleek, structured piece with attitude. The sharp Collar Rever neckline and pleated skirt brings a fierce twist to classic tailoring, while the adjustable corset-style side strapping adds a waist-snatching edge. Cut from a flexible bi-stretch fabric, it’s made to move with you. Whether you’re styling hair, working magic in the spa, or owning the beauty game. Available in Black, Grey and Blush.
For a beauty professional, that can make the difference between simply wearing a uniform and feeling that the uniform belongs to them.
When quality becomes part of the story
One detail from the day stayed with us, a suit that had been owned and worn for 10 years.
It was a small reminder of something we have always believed at Buttercups Uniforms. The best workwear earns its place in your wardrobe. It becomes familiar, trusted and eventually you stop thinking about the garment itself and simply know that it works.
That is the kind of relationship we want people to have with us.
Founded in 1988 by sisters Grace Crowley and Mary Randall, Buttercups began with a simple problem: finding beauty uniforms that brought together style, comfort and practicality. Their answer was to create their own, that thinking still runs through the brand today, designing workwear with a clear understanding of the people who wear it and the environments they work in.
Because quality is not just about how something looks when it is new. It is about how it continues to feel, wear and work as part of someone's everyday life.
Designed for the way beauty professional work
Our workwear has to do more than just look the part. A beauty professional can move from consultation to treatment, from client-facing moments to the practical demands of a busy day, often without changing what they are wearing.
That balance between fashion and function has been part of Buttercups from the beginning.
We design with real professionals in mind, bringing together contemporary silhouettes, considered details and the practical elements that make a garment work in real life. The result is workwear that feels at home in a salon, spa or clinic, without looking like it was designed simply to fulfil a dress code.
And individuality matters too.
A team may want a cohesive look, but that does not mean every person has to lose their sense of style. Different silhouettes, details and ways of wearing a uniform can create consistency without making everyone feel identical.
For us, that is where good uniform design finds its balance: the uniform creates the connection, while the design leaves room for the individual.
A different way to look at Buttercups Uniforms
The ANBOS Congres 2026 offered more than a chance to put beauty uniforms on a runway. It created a different perspective on something beauty professionals wear every day.
For us seeing the collection presented in this way reinforced something we have always believed: professional workwear can be practical without being ordinary, consistent without being impersonal, and considered without losing its purpose.
Sometimes, it takes a different setting to notice the details.
